The Taj Mahal is an eternal symbol of love. It was built by the Mughal ruler Shah, in memory of his Begum Mumtaz Mahal, the name of this building was also named Taj Mahal by his name.
The Taj Mahal’s building is a great example of Mughal architecture. This building is the best example of islamic indian, persian and muslim art.
Who was responsible for the construction of the Taj Mahal, people have their own views – about their own opinions. Most people believe that the responsibility of construction of Taj Mahal was given to Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
Mumtaz Mahal, which was a Persian Princess. His death took place in 1631. Within a year after the order of Shah where the construction of the Taj Mahal in memory of Mumtaz was started in 1632.
During the construction of this grand building, the workers showed their work efficiency and completed the construction of the main part of the building in just 11 years in 1643.
King’s dream was to make arrangements for other small buildings and gardens around the taj so that the guests who came to see the building could be accommodated in it. Workers took 5 years to complete this task.

Taj Mahal is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. This place was purchased by Shah Jahan from King Jai Singh. After Mumtaz’s death, his dead body was brought from Burhanpur to Agra. A small building was built on the tomb of Mumtaz.
The biggest challenge during the construction of the Taj Mahal was to establish a strong foundation on the sandy land of Yamuna river. After a lot of hardships, this strong foundation was built.
According to King’s order, high quality material was purchased for the the building material, mostly material used in the building were brought from India and some other Asian countries.
It was a big challenge to bring Building Material to one place for the construction of such a large building. For this, Shah jahan took the support of more than 1000 elephants.
The marble of the Taj Mahal was comes from rajasthan, the kingdom of king Jai Singh, which is located about 400 kilometers away from the Agra. A lot of time and manpower was used to bring such a large marble to such a distance.
It is very difficult to say who did the construction of the building. Because in the Islamic world at the time, the credit for a building’s design was generally given to its patron rather than its architects.
If we talk about the building’s lower chamber , according to the Muslim tradition, Shah and Mumtaz’s grave were decorated together with the chamber of the marble.
Taj Mahal was included in the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1983. It was also announced as the winner of Seven Wonder of the World in the year 2007.
